The BCS championship game between Alabama and Texas had more than its share of ups and downs, and ultimately ended up with a deserved victory for the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide over the #2 ranked Texas Longhorns, by a score of 37-21. After Alabama knocked out Texas' star quarterback Colt McCoy early in the first quarter, and with the Tide up by 24-6 at halftime, it appeared the game was all but over. A rally by the Longhorns, though it eventually came up short, provided some second half drama. But that wasn't the most entertaining part of the game...
No, it was the appearance of a BCS streaker that really made things exciting in the third quarter. Unfortunately he didn't make it onto the TV coverage of the event, despite the fact he was modestly dressed, at least by streaker standards. But the man in tights entertained the live crowd at the game with a full minute of Spiderman poses, lengthy sprints and some nice moves to dodge the security guards who were trying to catch him.
He wore a mask to preserve his identity, if not his dignity, and mustard yellow tights for... well, who knows why he wore those? Eventually he was caught, as streakers always are, and dragged off the field. But for that brief minute of on-field awesomeness in front of almost 100,000 appreciative fans, he will always be remembered.
